About Nancy

Nancy is a certified RYT 200 yoga instructor, and the sole proprietor of Center Path Yoga. She started her yoga journey over 25 years ago in Cambridge Massachusetts as a student of Power Yoga with Baron Baptiste.  Since then she has transitioned into a gentle yoga practice that focuses on calming the nervous system while also maintaining and improving strength and flexibility. She completed teacher training in Edwardsville, Illinois, and enjoys taking classes and workshops to broaden her practice at every opportunity.  Nancy is also certified in Accessible Yoga and Yoga for Cancer.

 

During class with Nancy you will be guided through gentle movement and slow flow poses always incorporating breath work and meditation.  

 

Nancy can be found teaching weekly in Madison County, IL.  Details on class locations, rates and times are published on Facebook.  She is also available for small group or private yoga instruction.

 

Yoga is a practice for everybody, and everybody is always welcome in Nancy's class.

Practicing Yoga during or after cancer treatment can help reduce fatigue, channel intrusive thoughts, promote better sleep, relieve anxiety, increase muscle strength, bone health, and range of motion. This class is designed for all levels of ability, providing options to practice on the mat, in a chair, or standing. Private instruction can be tailored to individual needs.

Restorative yoga encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation.  Poses are arranged for complete comfort utilizing props.

 

This style of yoga allows you to release muscle tension and focus on deep breathing to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. The results can include reduced blood pressure, anxiety relief, and a feeling of calm and well being.

Gentle yoga is a series of poses in a slow flow format to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Classes include meditation, breath work and often a few Restorative and/or Yin poses.
